Nothing is ever quite as it seems.
A family whose apparently normal life in a Dublin suburb conceals a dark secret.
The unexpected arrival of the daughter’s new boyfriend unleashes a series of confessions that cross social and personal boundaries.
Mark O’Rowe’s finely balanced script draws you in weaving together the lives of these intricate characters as it explores the sadness, guilt, love and passion that form the relationships within this family.
Described as “Powerful, compelling and utterly beautiful, Our Few and Evil Days is unlike anything seen on The Abbey Stage in recent times”, when it was first performed there (starring Ciarán Hinds and Sinéad Cusack) as part of the Dublin Theatre Festival in 2014.
Directed by Lyn Wainwright, and writted by Mark O’Rowe, this production will take place in the Petit théâtre Mercelis from 5-9 November 2019.
